In this webinar, “How to Develop a Sustainability Leadership Culture in Your Organization,” thought leaders discussed how to create a culture committed to sustainability and the role of the leader in communicating its priority. They explored the role of language in securing the commitment of all organizations, shared lessons learned and emphasized the financial benefits.

I delivered this workshop to graduate students at Columbia’s Climate School. It gave an overview of how web-based tools are created and the business case for them made. Students applied what they had learned to an in-class exercise related to offshore wind and marine wildlife.

I co-founded and led the Energy and Environment Women’s Circle for Columbia Business School’s Office of Alumni Affairs. We curated webinars featuring industry leaders on renewable energy storage and offshore wind in the U.S.

For New York Green Bank, I researched the market and policy factors impacting these renewable energy sectors. I quickly identified primary and secondary sources (including through expert interviews) and distilled a wide range of information into a manageable set of key takeaways. The reports were used internally to brief senior leadership to identify strategic funding opportunities.

Created ESG Scores, one of the first of its kind, provides data and tools for portfolio construction, risk management, leadership and and engagement and scenario analysis and reporting related to environmental, social and governance. As Product Lead for the Scores, the cornerstone of S&P’s corporate-wide push into ESG, I lead the design and development of the product.

I was product manager for S&P’s SDG Evaluation web-based report tool, which provides a scorecard of a company’s performance related to the Sustainable Development Goals.

I co-authored the white paper summarizing a model that enables companies to understand where to invest cap ex, what types of renewable energy and energy efficiency assets to invest in, and what combination of assets will reach climate targets and deliver optimized environmental and financial returns.

I researched and wrote cases for Columbia Business School. The Tesla cases addressed the question: What was truth and what was fiction when it came to the outsized company and its larger-than-life CEO? The SunEdison case explored the company’s meteoric rise and precipitous fall into bankruptcy.
